Dusty is a native of Arapahoe, Nebraska and has been working in the Office for Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions since July of 1998. He is the Director of Undergraduate Recruitment and Admissions.

Dusty received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Hastings College in 1995 and completed his Master’s of Science in Education, Counseling with a Student Affairs Emphasis at UNK in May 2002. He is actively involved in professional organizations. These include the Nebraska Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (NACRAO), the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO), the Great Plains Association for College Admission Counseling (GPACAC), the National Association of College Admissions Counseling (NACAC). He is actively involved with the Kearney Area Chamber of Commerce. Dusty is a 2003 graduate of Leadership Kearney and was on the Leadership Kearney Board of Directors from 2003 – 2005 and 2011-2012.  He currently serves as a member of the EducationQuest Foundation’s Advisory Council.  Dusty is currently serving as a member of the UNK Staff Senate.  In his spare time, he enjoys attending Loper athletic events, campus events and community events as well as spending time with his family, friends, and mini dachshund, Hank.
