Empower yourself to promote lifelong health and wellness. The fully online Health Education M.A.Ed. program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney (in collaboration with the University of Nebraska at Omaha) equips you with the pedagogical and content expertise to inspire healthy behaviors in classrooms, healthcare settings, and communities.
Through flexible, evidence-based coursework, you’ll strengthen your understanding of key topics such as nutrition, exercise physiology, and mental health, all while developing advanced instructional strategies that support diverse learners. Choose a thesis or comprehensive portfolio to tailor the program to your professional goals.
For Nebraska teachers, this program offers a pathway to a supplemental endorsement in health (not initial certification). Out-of-state students interested in licensure or endorsement should consult their state’s department of education.
The Health Education M.A.Ed program is offered in partnership with UNO. Over the course of the 30 credit hour program, students will take 21 credit hours at UNK, and 9 credit hours at UNO.
