As a physics teacher, you'll have the opportunity to guide students as they grow in their curiosity and understanding of the world around them.
The faculty in both the Department of Physics & Astronomy as well as the College of Education believe in the importance of hands-on learning experiences. Whether it's time spent in the laboratory working on real research projects or in classrooms working with students during early field experiences and student teaching, you'll graduate with the knowledge and experience needed to excel as an educator.
After completing the requirements, program graduates will be fully qualified to teach physics in grades 7-12 at the middle or high school level or to pursue an advanced academic degree.
