About the Mortuary Science Pre-Professional Program

On Campus Icon On Campus

Funeral directors, also called morticians and undertakers, manage funeral homes and arrange the details of a funeral. The Pre-Mortuary Science program at the University of Nebraska at Kearney will prepare you for higher education in the field.

The program to be followed by a pre-mortuary science student is largely determined by the requirements of the state in which they will practice and the mortuary school they plan to attend.
