About the Professional Chemist Degree Program

The Professional Chemist degree program, certified by the American Chemical Society, is ideal for students planning careers in industry and research, and also provides a solid foundation for those going on to advanced study in chemistry.

The faculty in UNK's Department of Chemistry believe that a hands on approach is vital to gaining real scientific expertise. In the program, students are provided with the best laboratory experience possible through access to state-of-the-art equipment and participation in active undergraduate research programs.
