Samantha Rau

I chose UNK because it felt like home. It was the perfect distance from my hometown and a nice size so that I would not be just a number and would instead be a valued student. At my first visit, I got to meet with some chemistry professors and immediately felt comfortable, valued, and like I had what it took to succeed at UNK.

My favorite class was Senior Lab because it utilized the instrumental/analysis techniques learned in all previous classes in a “real” scenario. It helped me discover that graduate school research was for me and prepared me for graduate school.
