What is Early Entry?

UNK's Early Entry Program provides the opportunity for current high school students to take college classes before high school graduation. These courses take place on the UNK campus.

Through early entry, students have the opportunity to demonstrate to competitive universities and scholarships that they have succeeded at a high level in a rigorous, accredited college course. Following high school graduation, these students will have better means and opportunity to pursue college courses for a double major, graduate from college early, or slightly lessen their course-load.

Early entry students are enrolled in regular college courses on the UNK campus, and earn regular college credit. These college credits go on to become part of a student’s permanent college record and can be applied toward college graduation; these credits may also be transferred to other colleges or universities.
