Congratulations on your admission to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Being admitted is the first big step to becoming a Loper. You may be wondering what to do next. If you are from the U.S. and will be a freshman student for the first time, follow the steps below or print our PDF to prepare for life as a Loper. Our Loper Toolkit provides additional assistance.
Duo Mobile must be set up on the student's personal phone. If it is linked to a parents device, our Help Desk can assist in changing that.

When you decide where to attend, let us know. Available mid-November in MyBLUE, confirm your intent to enroll or decline your admission offer.
If you're still deciding or waiting on financial aid awards, that's okay.
Your high school transcript showing your sixth semester GPA will be used for scholarship consideration. If you did not provide transcripts when you applied, have your high school send them to UNK by March 1.
Your final official transcripts reflecting your high school GPA is required after graduation. Ask your high school to send transcripts to the UNK Office of Admissions at admissions@unk.edu.
If you earned any college credits while in high school through dual credit, early entry, or community college courses, your institutions must send us official college transcripts.
Submit test scores if you didn't at time of testing. UNK's codes: ACT - 2468, SAT - 6467. Scores are needed for top scholarship opportunities and also help to determine appropriate level UNK classes. If you did not take the ACT/SAT or feel your scores do not reflect your ability, we encourage you to take our placement exams prior to attending New Student Enrollment.
General Health Information
UNK requires all incoming students to upload immunization records that show two MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations after their first birthday. This information must be submitted to UNK before a student can register for classes at New Student Enrollment (NSE).
Once completed, records are reviewed and the hold on class registration is removed. UNK is committed to a safe and healthy campus. We highly encourage that all students receive the Meningitis Vaccinations prior to start of classes.
To obtain immunization records, most states have an immunization database. For Nebraska, visit NESIIS.
Login to MyBLUE with your NUID# and password. Go to Profile, then Immunization.
Click Upload/View Health Records tab (pop-up blocker off).
On the next screen, enter your MMR dates. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. Next click on Add/View Attachment.
Click Choose File to find your saved immunization records. This can be a scan or photo of your immunization records (send .jpg, .pdf, or Word file). Click Upload.
Once uploaded, click Save and Submit to the University.

Nebraska resident students may receive full-tuition coverage at UNK through the Nebraska Promise. See eligibility requirements and full details. You must complete the FAFSA by June 1. No other application is needed.
Scholarships
Your high school transcript showing your sixth semester GPA will be used for scholarship consideration. This includes the Loper Achievement, Distinguished Scholar, Regents, and Presidential scholarships. To be eligible, UNK must receive your official transcripts by March 1.
Some scholarships are based on your admissions application, while others require a separate application. Some top scholarships such as the Regents, KHOP, KLOP, Honors, and the Nebraska Career Scholarship require test scores (ACT/SAT) for eligibility. Deadlines, award amounts, and how to apply are listed with each scholarship.
Admitted freshmen should complete the Admitted Incoming Freshman Scholarship Application in MyBLUE. This one application is all that's needed to be eligible for many scholarships. The application is open beginning August 1 and closes on March 1, 11:59 PM Central Time.
