Congratulations on your admission to the University of Nebraska at Kearney. Being admitted is the first big step to becoming a Loper. You may be wondering what to do next. If you are from the U.S. and will be a freshman student for the first time, follow the steps below to enroll for classes and prepare for life as a Loper.
Your MyBLUE account is the most important tool you will have as a UNK student and is available immediately following your application for admission.
Login requires your 8-digit NUID# and your TrueYou password. Create your password here. If you need help, contact the UNK Help Desk at unkhelpdesk@unk.edu.
Set Up Duo Mobile
This is a two-factor approval system to access MyBLUE and student dashboards.
When you decide where to attend, let us know. In MyBLUE, confirm your intent to enroll or decline your admission offer.
If you’re still deciding or waiting on financial aid awards, that’s okay.
Submit Final Transcripts and Test Scores
A final transcript reflecting your high school GPA is required after graduation. Ask your high school to send transcripts to the UNK Office of Admissions.
If you earned any college credits while in high school through dual credit, early entry, or community college courses, your institutions must send us official college transcripts.
While UNK is test optional, some scholarship opportunities may require test scores. Submit your test scores to UNK if you didn’t at the time of testing. Use college codes: ACT – 2468, SAT – 6467.
General Health Information
UNK requires all incoming students to upload immunization records that show two MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccinations after their first birthday. This information must be submitted to UNK before a student can register for classes at New Student Enrollment (NSE).
Once completed, records are reviewed and the hold on class registration is removed. UNK is committed to a safe and healthy campus. We highly encourage that all students receive the Covid-19 and Meningitis Vaccinations prior to start of classes.
Login to MyBLUE with your NUID# and password. Go to Profile, then Immunization.
Click Upload/View Health Records tab (pop-up blocker off).
On the next screen, enter your MMR dates. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the Save button. Next click on Add/View Attachment.
Click Choose File to find your saved immunization records. This can be a scan or photo of your immunization records (send .jpg, .pdf, or Word file). Click Upload.
Once uploaded, click Save and Submit to the University.
General Financial Aid Information
Students should pursue as many types of funding as possible to help offset the cost of college. More than 86% of UNK freshmen received scholarships and/or grants, and the average need-based award was $9,854 in 2019-20. Financial Aid offers will be sent beginning in December. Contact the Financial Aid Office with questions.

You must complete the FAFSA by June 1. No other application is needed.
