For students that are married, have families, or are 21+. Village Flats is apartment style living with convenience of living close to campus. This facility is close to the UNMC expansion and ideal for those working on a degree with UNMC and/or UNK. Please note: While this is a month to month agreement, you are not permitted to vacate without giving 60 days' notice.  Month-to-month refers to rent is paid - not how soon someone can leave without notice.

Reminder student meal plans are optional over the summer, but they are mandatory during the school year. The more credit hours you complete- more you can save on meal plans:

BONUS: Each Diamond plan includes the Quench beverage subscription with unlimited fountain drinks and drip coffee! PLUS, you can exchange a block meal for $8.50 in credit at all retail locations (Starbucks, Chick-Fil-A, Subway, Java Notes, and The Grid). Never waste a meal!

How to Sign Up

Step 1: Talk to Your People

• Discuss housing plans with friends, teammates, or your organization.
• Choose the same contract type to stay together. 

Step 2: Submit Your Contract

1. Log into MyBLUE
2. Go to Tools > Campus Housing
3. Click on Residence Hall Contract
4. Choose:
   • Stay 365 or
   • 2026–2027 Academic Year
5. Select your meal plan
6. Complete your profile and roommate questions (if needed) 

Step 3: Choose Roommates/Suitemates

1. Return to: MyBLUE > Tools > Campus Housing > Residence Hall Contract
2. Click Save and Continue on the Welcome screen
3. Go to: Completed Contract > Roommate Matching Profile
4. Select Roommate (Suitemate) Selection
5. Search for suitemates by name
   ✔ They must have a completed contract of the same type
6. Send & confirm roommate requests

Step 4: Choose your Vibe (optional- for groups wanting to cluster together, i.e. track, intramural lovers, similar majors, board game enthusiasts, music aficionados, etc. )

1. Designate a peer group leader
2. Have them complete this form no later than Feb 12th. https://unk.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8dpC2TJ0UJHDgLc.  They will need group participants First, Last and NUID numbers to complete the form.
