Incoming Freshmen Financial Aid Checklist

Apply for admission
Send your high school transcripts to the UNK Admissions Office to be considered for merit scholarships. Deadline is March 1
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each year
Receive your UNK Financial Aid offer by mail and to your preferred email; you can also view your offer in MyBLUE
Accept or decline federal student loans and/or work-study in MyBLUE; scholarships and grants are automatically accepted for you
Submit your Admitted Incoming Freshman UNK Scholarships application (opens in August and closes March 1)
Apply for outside (non-UNK) scholarships and report them in MyBLUE - follow our instructions
Regularly check your MyBLUE to-do list and email in case we need additional documentation

Please note: Allow 2-3 weeks for your FAFSA, documents, or requests to be processed. If you have questions or concerns about your financial aid, please contact the UNK Financial Aid office.
