The U.S. Postal Service delivers mail to campus and Village Flats Apartments Monday – Friday except for legal holidays. Mail is sorted by mail staff and placed into residents’ mailboxes. Each resident is assigned a mailbox in their residence hall secured by a keyed lock.
Residents ordering packages should include both their first and last name as they appear on their UNK ID to ensure timely and accurate check-in by delivery drivers.

Students who are vacating or no longer living on campus should update their Permanent address in their MyBLUE and also remove their UNK address from all online order accounts.
If mail is delivered for a student who no longer lives in the residence halls, mail staff will look for a forwarding address in the student’s account. If the forwarding address on file is in the United States, USPS Priority, Parcel, and First Class, UPS, and FedEx mail pieces will be forwarded to the domestic forwarding address in the student’s account. USPS Presorted Standard and Non-Profit classes do not have forwarding services available. If the permanent address is in the United States, mail staff will be able to forward applicable mail pieces to this address. Carriers do not provide forwarding services to international addresses. When mail or packages are not able to be forwarded, they will be returned to sender.
UNK mail staff do not receive updated tracking information for forwarded or returned packages. Order recipients must contact their carrier for updated tracking information.
UPS and FedEx packages are delivered directly to the Loper Package Lockers located on the first floor of the Nebraskan Student Union. Packages too big to fit in the lockers and special deliveries such as flowers, are delivered to the Mantor/Randall Desk. Students will receive an email to their UNK/UNMC email once the deliveries are logged into the system.
USPS Packages are delivered to the UNK Mailroom in the morning (Monday through Friday) and tracking information is updated when this delivery happens. The Residence Life mail team, will sort and deliver packages to the Loper Package Lockers by 5PM Monday through Friday. Students will receive an email to their UNK/UNMC email once the deliveries are logged into the system.
Food Deliveries: The Front Desks DO NOT accept food deliveries or other packages. If you order food, please work to meet your delivery driver immediately outside your hall or in the lobby of your hall when your order arrives. Please do not send your food deliveries (meal or grocery) to the Front Desks. Food deliveries (meal and grocery) sent to the residential mailrooms are not guaranteed refrigeration.
If you are missing a package, please file a Missing Package Claim Form. Package claims will be submitted to the mailroom immediately upon form submission, and a response provided within 3 business days.
