About the Sports Communication Degree Program

On Campus

With a Sports Communication degree from UNK, you'll study a wide range of communication topics, including broadcasting, writing, corporate communication, PR and marketing. This broad scope allows for diverse career options within the sports communication industry.

Throughout the program you'll be fully prepared for a broadcast career with skills in writing, interviewing, editing and audience analysis, including hands-on broadcast experience through KLPR Loper Radio, an award-winning, FCC licensed FM radio station, staffed by UNK students. 

Sports Communication graduates work for news organizations, athletic organizations, sports teams and other media outlets.
