Youth Athletic Development

The teenage and pubertal years are an important time for young athletes to begin transitioning to a more structured training environment to enhance athletic development while adjusting to a rapidly changing body.

Focus in this class will be to improve strength, power, mobility, conditioning, endurance, balance, jumping and landing. Speed training is also incorporated into this program to improve overall speed, agility, cutting ability, and change of direction. Athlete to coach ratio will remain low to ensure proper technique is practiced.

This program is designed for male and female elementary and middle school aged (MUST BE AGES 8-13) athletes looking to develop healthy lifestyle habits and to gain a competitive edge. All athletes will receive initial training and performance evaluations to identify strengths and weaknesses. This program is available for athletes to attend on Monday & Wednesday OR if there is interest in attending 4 days per week, please contact our director.

Additionally, ACL prevention will be emphasized in our female youth athletes. Compared to males, female athletes, have a 3.5-fold increased risk of ACL injury occurring quick stops, cutting and lateral movements, and landing.

Through improved strength, power, mobility, conditioning, balance, agility, jumping and landing, and cutting and changing direction, we help can reduce the risk of ACL injury.
