Clay Frels will be in his 3rd year with Loper Performance.  He has been a Graduate Assistant in the Physical Activity and Wellness Lab since August of 2022 and will graduate with his master’s degree in Physical Education Exercise Science at the conclusion of the 2024 summer.  He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Clay graduated from Hastings College in 2021 with his bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, where he also played basketball for 3 years.  Clay has found his passion for training youth to high school aged athletes through his experiences and Loper Performance.  He believes in a long-term athletic development approach to training, looking to improve performance in a fun and safe environment by leading competent and confident athletes. 

Some of his experiences include a Co-Head Strength Coach at Kearney Catholic in the summer of 2023, an internship at Landow Performance in Denver, CO in the Winter of 2024, and an internship as a co-head speed coach for the UNK Football team in the summer of 2024.

Hannah Harrison is in her 3rd year helping with Loper Performance. Harrison is a recent graduate from UNK majoring in Exercise Science with minors in Nutrition and Health Science. She was also part of the UNK Track and Field team for five years specializing in the 400 and 800-meter races.  She is interested in the nutrition aspect of Loper Performance, creating graphics, flyers, and nutrition education to students as well as nutritional guidance to athletes. She will also be a head coach for our summer Female Athletic Development Program. Upon conclusion of the summer, she will go on to get her Master of Medical Nutrition to be a Registered Dietician. 

Meg Burns

Meg Burns is in her 2nd year helping with Loper Performance.  Burns is a senior at UNK majoring in Exercise Science.  She is also a member of the UNK Women’s Basketball team.  Meg’s has experience coaching not only in Loper Performance but in her internship at Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning in Boston, MA in the summer of 2023.  She is also a Certified Functional Strength Coach Level 1 and 2, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT).
