About the Theatre Degree Program

On Campus

The Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance provides a high-quality education to University of Nebraska at Kearney students. The faculty create a constructive, stimulating, challenging and rewarding student-centered learning environment with numerous hands-on opportunities to participate in productions. The Theatre major offers two specializations for students: acting and directing, and production and design. The faculty and students serve the community, state, and region as an intellectual, artistic and cultural resource, making the department an important center of learning, leadership inquiry, and cooperative achievement.

General Studies requirement has been reduced to 30 credit hrs allowing more freedom and making it easier to transfer to UNK.
