Auditions for the FALL 2024 productions are open to all current UNK students - not just majors and minors.

To audition:

  • Check the Theatre Callboard (outside FAB 212) for any additional information the director may post.
  • On or after August 26:  Pick up an Audition Form from the Theatre Callboard (outside FA212).  Completed forms should be returned to the Stage Manager when you check in for the audition session of your choice. (You only need to complete one audition form, even if auditioning for both productions.)  If you do not have a chance to swing by in advance, be sure to allow extra time to complete a form prior to the audition.  On your audition form, be sure to note any and all conflicts (work, classes, recitals, concerts, personal events, etc.) that fall during the rehearsal period and/or run of each production (A Fox on the Fairway: September 3-October 13, 2024; Deathtrap: October 14-November 24).
  • Arrive in the “lobby” outside the Miriam Drake Theatre or Studio Theatre at least 10 minutes prior to the audition session of your choice.  You do not need to sign up for an audition session in advance - just come to the appropriate Theatre.  While you only need to attend one audition session for each production to be considered for a role in that production, the director(s) may ask you to return for a callback at the end of the second session.  You are more than welcome to audition for both fall productions by attending one session for each.
  • Be prepared to wow the director with cold readings from the script.  NOTHING needs to be prepared or memorized in advance.
  • Relax, breathe, have fun, and enjoy the experience!

Thank you for your interest in these University Theatre at Kearney productions!  Break a leg!!
