The UNK General Education (GE) program helps students acquire knowledge and abilities to: understand the world, make connections across disciplines, and contribute to the solution of contemporary problems. UNK's General Education program consists of a diverse set of courses that provides the foundational knowledge that society expects an educated citizen to have. Students should be aware that the list of General Education-approved courses can change slightly from year to year. Be sure to refer to the academic catalog under which you matriculated (began studies at UNK).

Do you have questions about transfer courses or other issues about fulfilling General Education requirements?
Please note that students cannot receive General Education credit for a course that transfers in as an equivalent to a UNK course that is not in the General Education program.
