Please note that students cannot receive General Education credit for a course that transfers in as an equivalent to a UNK course that is not in the General Education program. If a student has questions about a course that transfers in as a general elective, they can contact the Director of General Education (general.education@unk.edu)
LOPR 126 Waivers for students who started at UNK before Fall 2025. Only LOPR 126 fulfills the LOPER 1 requirement for these students. However, this course is no longer offered. The LOPR 126 requirement may be waived for students who:
These students must still complete at least 30 credit hours of General Education coursework and fulfill LOPERs 2-10 requirements.
To request a LOPR 126 waiver, complete this waiver request form.
Do this after the student has received a grade in LNSK 103 or a LOPER 11 class.
