The mission of the Human Resources Office is to provide innovative service to the University and its staff while maintaining a high level of quality and professionalism. To accomplish this mission, the Human Resources Office must fill a variety of roles within UNK. 

The first role of Human Resources is to assist and counsel employees in regards to their benefits and issues involving their personal and professional lives. The second role of Human Resources is to act as a part of the administrative team. This role entails providing professional expertise in regards to personnel policies and procedures, labor law compliance, performance management practices and the daily administration of payroll, benefit programs, recruitment and classification/compensation.
