All participants should review the Participant Handbook prior to playing Intramurals.
In order to promote good sportsmanship, the Intramural Program has upheld a sportsmanship policy. It is the responsibility of the team and players to make sure the game atmosphere is friendly and fun to both staff and fellow participants. The sportsmanship rating will be determined by game officials and will include behavior before, during and after each contest. Each team will receive a sportsmanship rating (0-5) after each game. Teams must maintain a 3.0 rating to be eligible for playoffs. Ejections and other unsporting behavior is not tolerated and may be grounds for suspension. Please review the participant handbook for more information.
A team captain or representative is responsible for notifying the Intramural office if their team is unable to participate in their scheduled game by 3 p.m. on game day, or 3 p.m. Friday for Sunday games. A default will result in a loss for the defaulting team and a sportsmanship rating of "3.0" for the game.
Late or no notification of a team’s inability to participate in a scheduled game will result in a team forfeit. A forfeit fee of $15 must be paid 48 hours prior to the teams next scheduled game to continue participation in the league. Contact the Intramural office to appeal a forfeit fee requirement or for general inquiries. More information can also be found in the Participant Handbook.
