The UNK Industrial Distribution Career Fair Event gives students and employers an opportunity to connect with one another, establish professional relationships, and discuss potential employment and internship opportunities. Tuesday, October 24
IDO Student Career Fair Booth Set Up | 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2nd Floor)
Company Career Fair Set Up | 2 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

With a campus parking permit company reps may park in any lot on campus. Permits will be emailed one week prior to the event. Several parking stalls will be reserved on the north side of the Union for loading and unloading items.
Banquet | 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
Holiday Inn – 110 2nd Ave
For all company representatives and ID students. Network and discuss opportunities and future plans. Dinner will be served followed by a short program. Cash bar. Business casual dress.

A loading area is available on the north side of the building. With a campus parking permit you may park in any lot on campus; the lot north of the Union will be reserved for the event.
ID Program Overview & Orientation | 8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.
Nebraskan Student Union | Company representatives new to our event are strongly encouraged to attend. ID Students will provide an overview of the program
and strategies to make your experience at the career event a success. Continental breakfast provided.
Kearney High School Students | 9:30am – 12:30pm

11:45am – Lunch at The Graze and dismissal.
Industrial Distribution Career Fair | 9:30 a.m. – 12noon

Light refreshments and beverages will be available throughout the day.
Internship Best Practices | 12:15pm – 1:15pm
Working lunch meeting –
Companies offering internships receive priority invitations to career events. At this meeting, you’ll learn about the internship program including the academic requirements, the intern’s project and company best practices. Lunch provided for attendees.
Interview Set Up | 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Nebraskan Student Union – Ponderosa Room (2nd Floor)
Company booths must dismantle by 12 noon and students will reset the room for interviews. Interview locations might be a different location than your career fair booth, so all booth materials need packed up and removed. You can store them by the registration table. All ID students will help during this time.
Lunch Break | 12noon – 1:30pm
Nebraskan Student Union – The Graze (2nd Floor)
A ticket for The Graze on the second floor of the Nebraskan Student Union will be available for pick up at the registration table.
Company Conducted Interviews | 1:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Nebraskan Student Union – Locations to be assigned, map provided at the fair.
No interviews will be allowed during the Career Fair. Interviews may begin at 1:30 p.m. in designated locations. Snacks will be provided near the student waiting area.
Evening on Your Own
Informal gatherings with students are encouraged but must be held off campus and set up individually with the students.

Airports & Travel Times
* Denver Air flies directly into Kearney. Check available flights HERE.
* The Grand Island airport (GRI) is 45 minutes from Kearney. Connections can be made via American Eagle http://flygrandisland.com/american-eagle/
* Lincoln, NE and Omaha, NE airports may provide direct flights from your location. Drive time from Lincoln is a little over 2 hours and drive time from Omaha is 2.5 – 3 hours.

Name Tags
Name tags will be made for each company representative, or you can bring your own. Information for the name tags will be taken from your registration form.
Lunch Tickets
Lunch tickets to eat in the cafeteria will be available at the registration desk. If you prefer to pay on your own, the other venues in the student union are Chick-fil-A, Subway, and Starbucks.
Parking
Parking permits will be emailed one week prior to the event to all attendees. Parking stalls will be reserved on the north side of the Student Union for the event. Additional permits will be available at the registration table at all events.

To return your booth materials, please bring your pre-labeled packages to the information table. Be sure to call your carrier for pickup at the address above. Please schedule the pickup to be any time AFTER Thursday to give us time to move the career event materials from the student union back to Discovery Hall. The students will move the boxes back to Discovery Hall Thursday after the career fair.
