Learner groups are organized to give each researcher the most relevant information while respecting the use of their time.  Required modules have been established for each group, as well as optional modules that can be selected according to the specific research project.

Students should select either the “Student Social and Behavioral Research” learner group (for non-biomedical research) or the “Student Biomedical Research” learner group.

Faculty should select from “Faculty Social and Behavioral Research” learner group (if your research, or your student's research, is not biomedical in nature) or the learner group titled “Faculty Biomedical Research.”

IRB members must complete one of the two faculty learner groups (choose the one most appropriate to your research area), and complete the IRB member learner group.

When research involves children, prisoners, culturally diverse subjects; is international, or uses records, researchers should complete relevant optional modules that are available in each researcher's CITI grade book.   Faculty should monitor student compliance with the optional training modules.
