Business Administration programs are designed to give students an edge by learning, not just in the classroom, but in experiential learning labs and real-world environments, through internships and other business collaborations. The Business division offers flexibility by delivering a core of business courses with an expanse of emphasis areas allowing students to expand in their unique field interests. This creates a well-rounded, effective business professional who has hands on experience in multiple levels of the business world.

Jesse Ackerman, senior in Accounting with a Finance minor from Hastings, is interning this spring at a RSM, a public accounting firm in Omaha. Jesse is working in audit services, and he hopes to have a better understanding of whether he would enjoy a career in public accounting versus private accounting by the end of the internship.

  • Beta Alpha Psi Beta Alpha Psi is an honorary organization for Financial Information students and professionals. The primary objective of Beta Alpha Psi is to encourage and give recognition to scholastic and professional excellence in the business information field.
  • William L. Bauhard Student Managed Investment Program Students at the University of Nebraska at Kearney gain real-world investment experience before they graduate. Many students today use online simulations to learn about investing, but with the use of the Bauhard Investment Program Fund, undergraduate students in the field of study have the opportunity to use actual funds to make and monitor real investments.
  • Ag Business Club Provides students opportunities beyond the classroom and expands professional and personal experiences within agriculture.
  • Supply Chain Management Organization This organization provides students opportunities to network with supply chain management professionals and prospective employers. In addition, members will be able to participate in industry tours and learn about internship and scholarship opportunities.
