Call for Applications: Faculty Exchange Program at Palacký University
Overview
We are pleased to announce a faculty exchange program with Palacký University in Olomouc, Czech Republic. This program is designed for faculty members with teaching and research interests in the following areas:
- English/American Literature
- Education
- English Linguistics
- Teaching English
Purpose
This exchange program aims to foster academic collaboration and cultural exchange between faculty members of Palacký University and the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Target Audience
Faculty members from the above departments.
Key Dates
- Application Opens: February 9, 2026
- Application Closes: February 19, 2026
- Notification of Acceptance: February 26, 2026
- Confirmation of Participation: March 5, 2026
- Trip Dates: At least five working days during the month of April, plus two days for travel. To be coordinated with visiting faculty from Palacký University.
Requirements
- Must have a valid passport and meet visa requirements (for international faculty members) at the time of application.
- Teach, guest lecture, or lead a workshop on three different occasions based on topics of the faculty member's interest that align with the departments at Palacký University.
- Engage with and learn from Palacký University faculty.
Qualifications
- Must be at the lecturer, or higher, faculty rank.
- Provide a statement of purpose detailing how this exchange will benefit the individual faculty member, UNK students, and UNK as a whole.
- Outline what the individual plans to teach during the exchange. Please include:
Funding
The program includes airfare (reimbursed upon arrival) and subsistence costs (lodging, living expenses, transportation) of 140 Euros per day.

Selected individuals will need to complete additional paperwork.

Interested faculty members should submit their applications, including a CV, a statement of purpose, and a proposed teaching plan, by the application deadline.
