About the Speakers

Marisol Rodriguez

As a certified early childhood educator, Marisol Rodriguez is deeply committed to expanding access to high-quality learning experiences for young children and the educators who serve them. With over 20 years of experience in education, she has worked as a classroom teacher and has designed and led impactful programs for children, teachers, and families. Her work is grounded in a strong belief that early childhood is a critical window for development, and that effective, engaging instruction can shape lifelong outcomes.

Throughout her career, Marisol has been a dedicated advocate in the early childhood space, working to elevate best practices in teaching and learning while supporting educators in building their instructional capacity. She brings expertise in early literacy development, with a particular focus on language acquisition and the Science of Reading.

Fluent in both English and Spanish, Marisol is especially passionate about supporting multilingual learners and ensuring that classrooms are inclusive, language-rich environments. Her professional interests include bilingual education, early literacy, and strengthening early childhood systems to better serve children, families, and communities.


Emily Champlin

With more than a decade of experience in early childhood education, Emily Champlin has supported hundreds of programs across the country and touched the lives of countless educators, children and families. With her combined experience as a classroom teacher and a QRIS administrator for the Nevada Department of Education, Emily has developed a deep passion for improving the quality of education—fueling her work to support a variety of programs through professional development training and technical assistance.

As a Professional Development Specialist, Emily uses her extensive knowledge and experience to lead participants through engaging trainings that reflect current research, promote equity and include meaningful, hands-on learning practices. Committed to supporting individual goals, facilitating change and achieving desired results, Emily prioritizes the use of highly effective strategies that participants can easily implement right away.

Emily holds an MA in Early Childhood Education and a BFA in Acting/Theatre Arts. She is an approved trainer on the Nevada state registry and has significant experience with a variety of classroom-quality assessments, including ITERS and ECERS.


Andrea Cureton

With nearly two decades of experience in early childhood education, Andrea Cureton has touched the lives of countless leaders, childcare providers, children, and families. Andrea is passionate about improving practices that impact teachers, administrators, and most of all, children, and their families. This passion has fueled Andrea’s own professional development, as she supports programs by encouraging a culture of learning that promotes school readiness and lifelong learning.

Drawing from her background, Andrea provides engaging and informative training that supports the needs of today’s classrooms. She provides fellow educators with the opportunity to enhance teaching and learning through content-rich, hands-on experiences. Possessing a real passion for results, Andrea focuses on tools and strategies that teachers can implement right away!

Andrea holds an M.S. in Early Childhood Studies Administration, Management, and Leadership and an M.A. in Early Childhood Education. She is a South Carolina master certified childcare trainer and is certified in a variety of classroom-quality assessments, including CLASS (Pre-K), ITERS, ECERS and TPOT, and QCIT. From birth to five childcare providers to leadership, her expertise in facilitating change in programs has proven highly effective across the country.
