UNK Athletic Training program and UNMC-Kearney Physical Therapy program collaborate with UNK Student Health to offer medical care to UNK general students, intramural/club athletes, recreational athletes, and staffs/faculty. Most of our services are free of charge!

Services We Offer

Orthopedic Injury Assessment and Treatment/Rehabilitation

UNK Students - $20 per injury during a whole semester; $10 per injury during the second half of the semester

Faculty/Staff/Community Members - $40 per injury during the semester/$20 per injury during the second half of the semester

The fees will cover:

  • Evaluation for medical conditions/injuries, primarily musculoskeletal disorders (injuries or disorders of the bones, muscles, tendons, joints, cartilage, and nerves), and concussion screening
  • Application of therapeutic interventions (therapeutic modality, manual therapy, rehabilitation)
    • High-intensity laser therapy will be an additional charge ($20 per 1-hour session)
  • Developing a rehabilitation/exercise plan, including a home exercise plan
  • Local orthopedic doctor’s office/UNK Student Health referral (if needed)
  • Emergency/urgent conditions will be referred to the local emergency services
