Department of Educational Administration

Our goal in Educational Administration is to meet the needs of future school administrators, an area of high demand and need in K-12 school systems. EDAD students may pursue an online Masters or Specialist Degree as well as a non-degree endorsement. We are fortunate to have faculty members with extensive experience as public school administrators, who share “real life” experiences to enhance your education and training. We develop close relationships with program graduates as they embark on careers in school administration, as mentors and colleagues.

We prepare graduates to be school leaders who are responsive, reflective, and collaborative decision- makers and who have the requisite knowledge, skills, and technological expertise to organize learning environments that embrace the principles of democracy, diversity, and equity.

We:

  • Select and prepare individuals for administrative roles in schools
  • Design and deliver postgraduate in-service for practicing administrators
  • Provide consultative services to school officials in the general area served by the University of Nebraska at Kearney

Educational Administration offers two degrees:

Master of Art in Education

Education Specialist

UNK Online Graduate Programs are consistently highly ranked
