If you have a passion for biology and a drive to introduce the wonder of the natural world to the next generation of scientific minds,UNK's biology teaching degree is the perfect next step in your career journey.
Faculty from UNK's Biology Department and College of Education will equip you with the knowledge, skills and experience needed to be an effective science teacher with a Biology 7-12 Education major. You will work alongside faculty mentors who will encourage active participation and hands-on learning, emphasizing research and discovery though academic coursework, early field experiences and student teaching.
After completing the requirements, graduates are qualified to teach grades 7-12 in public or private school systems or to pursue an advanced degree. Education degrees are a cornerstone of UNK, which has gained a reputation for producing Nebraska top teachers for more than a century.
