Founded at UNK in 1993, the Theta Kappa chapter of Delta Tau Delta is guided by the values of Truth, Courage, Faith, and Power, and is committed to Lives of Excellence. The fraternity supports Breakthrough T1D, a national organization dedicated to Type 1 Diabetes research and awareness. “Delt” at UNK is recognized as a top-performing chapter both locally and nationally. The chapter is a multi-year recipient of the Hugh Shields Award for Chapter Excellence, which honors the top Delta Tau Delta chapters in the nation. Founded at UNK in 1966, Phi Delta Theta is grounded in the core values of Friendship, Sound Learning, and Moral Rectitude. The fraternity’s motto, One Man is No Man, reflects its belief in the strength of brotherhood and the importance of supporting one another. "Phi Delts" are dedicated to service through their national partnership with the Live Like Lou Foundation, which supports ALS research and families affected by the disease. The chapter has been recognized for its commitment to excellence with honors such as the Silver Star Chapter Award, reflecting its high standards in leadership, scholarship, and chapter operations.
Founded at UNK in 1987, Pi Kappa Alpha—commonly known as “Pike”—strives to develop men of integrity, intellect, and high moral character. Guided by the values of Truth, Love, and Friendship, Pike challenges its members to pursue excellence in every area of life. The fraternity promotes a well-rounded experience through its four pillars: Scholars, Leaders, Athletes, and Gentlemen. The chapter supports multiple philanthropic efforts, including McKenna’s Rae of Hope, which focuses on mental health awareness and suicide prevention, and the Kearney Fire Department. The chapter has been honored with the Raymond L. Orians Excellence Award, placing it among the top Pi Kappa Alpha chapters nationally.

The UNK chapter is consistently recognized for excellence, having earned the prestigious Buchanan Cup consistently—an honor awarded to the top SigEp chapters nationwide.
Established at UNK in 1962, the Beta Chi chapter of Sigma Tau Gamma is founded on six core principles: Learning, Integrity, Excellence, Leadership, Citizenship, and Brotherhood. These values guide members in their personal development and commitment to building a strong, value-driven brotherhood. The chapter actively supports the Nebraska Special Olympics. This partnership aligns with Sigma Tau Gamma's emphasis on service and citizenship. Nationally, Sigma Tau Gamma offers leadership development programs such as the Grand Conclave and the Endevour Conference, providing members with opportunities to grow personally and professionally. IFC at UNK utilizes "365 Recruitment" meaning that chapters are working year-round on bolstering membership. Current and returning students may be recruited by and sign bids with chapters at any point. The following dates are for the upcoming school year regarding first year students:
