May-August 2025 Update

Group photo

Alpha Omicron Pi had an amazing summer filled with family, friends, travel, internships, concerts, and sisterhood. Two of our members went to the AOII national convention in California. A group of our girls went to the Ozarks for a weekend getaway and spent their time at the lake bonding. We are so excited to be back in Kearney, moved into the house, and all together again. Recruitment was so much fun. We enjoyed dressing up for all of the themes during work week and recruiting our new girls. We are so excited for what this school year will bring. So far, we have been busy with classes and all of our amazing sisterhood events. We are looking forward to more sisterhood events, homecoming, functions, semiformal, sisterhood retreat, and growing closer to our sisters this semester. Near the end of the semester, we will have our Sisters for Soldiers philanthropy event, where we invite campus and community members to help make care packages for soldiers.

May was an amazing end to the spring semester, we celebrated with our semi-formal Spring Phling at The Village! Alpha Phi then had a busy but fun summer. Many of our sisters took part in internships, including human resources at a plant in Arkansas and serving as a Holt County “Hometown Intern” in Nebraska. Others spent their summer traveling the world to places such as Mexico, Italy, and across the U.S. Two of our sisters volunteered for the VAW Global Health Alliance in Guatemala, where they provided medical care to local communities. Another sister traveled to Honduras with her church to support communities in need. We had an amazing time being back on campus during Work Weekend and Spirit Week as we prepared for recruitment. During that time, we enjoyed playing sand volleyball, pickleball, and swimming at Harmon Pool together! Our recruitment theme this year was Home Starts Here, and we are thrilled to welcome 25 new members into our chapter. To wrap up August, we had a fun mixer with Alpha Xi Delta, where we played pickleball and enjoyed popsicles. Looking ahead, our upcoming philanthropy event, King of Hearts, is a male pageant taking place on November 6th. Reach out to any Alpha Phi for tickets or more information! After such a busy and exciting summer, we’re so happy to be back on campus!

This summer, Alpha Xi Delta sisters made the most of their time away from campus by embracing opportunities for travel, professional development, and connection.

We were proud to be represented at Alpha Xi Delta’s biannual Convention in Austin, Texas, where sisters from across the country gathered to learn, celebrate, and strengthen the bonds of sisterhood. Additionally, we are proud to share that another two of our sisters traveled to North Carolina to attend The Workout, Alpha Xi Delta’s national leadership workshop. There, they gained knowledge and strategies to help lead our chapter with confidence and purpose. On a more individual level, one of our sisters completed a professional internship in Washington, D.C., gaining valuable real-world experience in her field. These experiences highlight the variety of ways our members continue to grow and excel, both personally and professionally.

As we transitioned back to campus, our chapter worked hard to prepare for the start of recruitment. We successfully completed both Work Week and Polish Week, which allowed us to refine our skills, strengthen our sisterhood, and present our best selves to potential new members. The week of recruitment finally arrived, and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort and energy that we brought into it. Every single one of us showed up, showed out, and truly represented what makes our chapter special.

Following recruitment and welcoming out new members home, our chapter celebrated with a Summer Camp Themed Bid Day, complete with grilled food, sash decorating, and even a little detour to the splash pad. It was a fun and welcoming way to introduce our newest members into the sisterhood. The energy, creativity, and unity displayed during Bid Day reflected the strong values we have of sisterhood here in Alpha Xi Delta, and we are thrilled to be taking part in the COB process to welcome home even more sisters.

Looking ahead, we are excited to share that our 2nd annual Build-A-Betxi event is coming up this October! This event will give our sisters the opportunity to raise awareness and support a cause that is near and dear to all of us, while also engaging with the greater Panhellenic and campus community. We are working hard to make this year’s event both meaningful and impactful, and we cannot wait to share more details as the date approaches!

Altogether, this summer and the beginning of the fall semester have been filled with exciting opportunities, sisterhood accomplishments, and moments of growth. From personal adventures and professional development to chapter milestones and philanthropy planning, Alpha Xi Delta continues to thrive. We look forward to carrying this momentum through the rest of the semester and beyond!

The women of Gamma Phi Beta ended last semester on a strong note by participating in the Girls on the Run 5K, a truly rewarding event. We also celebrated the end of the year with a fun mixer with Sigma Phi Epsilon. The past few months have been filled with memorable experiences, and we are so proud of how our members spent their time growing, learning, and serving. Over the summer, our sisters completed internships, traveled around the world, and made the most of their time away from campus. Some joined a service trip to Guatemala with Volunteers Around the World, while others attended leadership retreats—both incredibly valuable experiences. Toward the end of summer, we came together for work weekend and polish week to prepare for recruitment and the year ahead. Recruitment was a huge success, and we are thrilled to welcome home an amazing group of new members. Our first meeting back was so special, and it was inspiring to see our new members already getting involved. Looking ahead, our chapter is preparing for our annual Moonball tournament to raise money for Girls on the Run. We are excited for the year ahead and cannot wait to see what’s to come!
