I am so excited that recruitment is almost here! The Recruitment Team and I have been planning and working intensively to ensure this recruitment year is the best one yet! We cannot wait to meet you and have you find the key to your heart here within the Panhellenic community. Panhellenic is a place I proudly call home! Panhellenic prides itself on being a supportive, loving, and unique community. I have made so many best friends and continue to have support throughout my time here!
One of the biggest reasons I chose to go through recruitment was my desire to find a true sense of community, and looking back, it’s been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. College can feel overwhelming at times, but having a group of women who support, uplift, and genuinely care for one another has made all the difference in my experience.
We’re more than just friends; we’re a community built on shared values, respect, and lifelong sisterhood. Whether it’s studying together, volunteering in the community, or just hanging out, I’ve found a place where I truly belong. That’s what I hope for you, too.
Recruitment is such a special opportunity to find the people who will be in your corner throughout college and beyond. I’m so glad you’re taking that first step, and I can’t wait for you to see what this journey could bring!
Panhellenically,
Katherine Vandenberg
VP of External Recruitment
It’s hard to believe recruitment is just around the corner! I’m so proud of you for taking this step into what will undoubtedly be a life-changing experience. Sorority life at UNK has given me so much: best friends who will be my bridesmaids one day, roommates, and travel buddies. It’s been the foundation for countless memories, laughter, and personal growth.
Deciding to go through recruitment was the best decision I’ve ever made. It opened doors to leadership opportunities and involvement I never imagined, but more importantly, it gave me a support system that’s been with me through every high and low. From the moment I ran home on Bid Day, I felt like I’d found my place and I want that for you, too. Recruitment might feel overwhelming at first, but I promise it’s 10000% worth it.
My biggest piece of advice to you is: Dive in headfirst and trust yourself. Go in with an open heart, open mind, and zero expectations. You don’t need to have everything figured out, just take it day by day. Be present, be curious, and be yourself. Trust the journey, and trust that you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Your Pi Chis, the recruitment team, and I are all here to support and guide you every step of the way. Trust us, trust the journey, and most importantly, trust your heart.
I can’t wait to welcome you into our Panhellenic community and watch you find the key to your heart, just like I did. I hope you let yourself enjoy it. Dive in. Meet people. Ask questions. Laugh a lot. And most importantly: trust your gut. This is your story, and I can’t wait to see where it takes you.
I am literally counting down the days to meet you!

I’m so excited that you’re going through recruitment! Signing up was one of the best choices I made in college, even though I didn’t fully know what to expect. Going into recruitment, I knew I wanted to find a group of people who would support me, push me to grow, and help me feel at home. That’s exactly what I found through Panhellenic.
Being part of this community has brought me so much joy. I’ve met some of my closest friends, grown more confident, and found opportunities to be a leader and make a difference. Not only have I met my best friends in my own chapter, but I’ve also formed friendships with women in other chapters who inspire and support every day. That’s the beauty of Panhellenic it’s more than just one chapter; it’s a true community.
My biggest piece of advice is to be yourself. It might sound simple, but it really is the most important thing. The right chapter will love you for who you are. Also, don’t be afraid to ask questions. That’s how you learn about each chapter’s sisterhood, values, philanthropy, and what makes them unique. Recruitment is a chance for you to explore, connect, and find where you feel most at home.
I know this week can feel overwhelming, but trust that everything will work out just the way it’s meant to. I can’t wait to meet you all!

Heyy!! My recruitment story wasn’t what you would think. I honestly decided to go through recruitment because my roommate at the time was doing it too and I wanted to move in early, but never in a million years did I expect to fall in love with Panhellenic like I did! Through keeping an open mind during recruitment I was able to make the best connections with girls in each chapter, and honestly grew so much in my confidence in one short week! I ended up joining my chapter because I saw the girls I wanted to be like someday— girls who were super confident, kind, and funny!
I truly think joining a sorority was one of the best decisions I ever made and it has truly helped me grow so much and find my forever friends! My biggest piece of advice for you all would be to keep an open mind and realize that you are so so so amazing already, so just be yourself!! I can’t wait for you to find your home at UNK!
Love, Rayelee
