Math Tutoring

Like many other college tutoring programs, mathematics is the most requested subject for tutoring in the UNK Learning Commons. We offer math tutoring five days a week, and tutors are available for most 100- and 200-level math courses. In Spring 2021, all math tutoring will be delivered remotely.

There are now TWO ways to work with a math tutor.

Zoom Tutoring

This option allows you to work with a tutor in real-time on Zoom. It is a great option for when you have several problems to work through or when you would like to talk through your questions with a tutor. Click on your course below to see when Zoom appointments are available.

To schedule a Zoom appointment, please submit an Appointment Request Form, call the Learning Commons Welcome Desk at 308-865-8905, or stop by the Welcome Desk on the second floor of the Calvin T. Ryan Library.

Ask a Math Tutor Online (only available for Math 102)

This option allows you to submit a question online and receive feedback from a math tutor via email within 2 business days. It is ideal for questions about general concepts and when you’re feeling stuck or want to better understand a particular step of a problem. To request help on a specific problem, you MUST upload your attempt at the problem. Math tutors will not solve problems for you, but they will provide feedback on the work you have done and offer suggestions.

Complete the Ask a Math Tutor form to submit your question to a tutor.
