An office dedicated to help you succeed in your college academics, the Learning Strategies Office partners across campus to bring you classes, group collaboration, and interaction to help you understand how you learn best. From reading comprehension to test-taking strategies and even personal wellness and management, we are here to see you succeed now and into your future academic endeavors.

Foundations for Learning

Students often come to college unprepared for challenges in their first year. Foundations for Learning is a three-credit hour first year transition class offered through the Academic Success Offices. This course helps students understand how to improve academic performance, develop career plans, and manage personal concerns. These classes are strongly recommended for incoming freshmen and transfer students.

What are we all about?

Foundations for Learning instructors will encourage you to become more involved in extracurricular activities on campus. You will also get information and clarification on various campus services that may be of benefit throughout your college learning experience.

Participants in Foundations for Learning often stay on track better, exceed their predicted grade point averages, are more active in campus life, and tend to persevere until they graduate.
