Andrew R. Brackett

Biography

Andrew Brackett is a Lighting and Scenic Designer who joined the UNK Theatre & Dance faculty in the fall of 2022. Most recently, he served as the Assistant Professor of Theatre Design and Production at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, teaching classes in all areas of Theatre Design and Technology, managing the shops, and overseeing the technical elements of departmental productions. Andrew has his MFA in Theatre Design and Technology from Northern Illinois University specializing in Lighting Design. Following graduate school, Andrew had a post-graduate teaching fellowship at Shenandoah University. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Minnesota in 2008 with a BA in Technical Theatre and Architecture. Professionally, Andrew has worked for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Disney Cruise Line, and has designed and technical directed for several theatre companies and high schools.
