UNK's music programs offer quality instruction, personal supervision, and excellent and varied performance opportunities. All of our full-time faculty have earned doctorates or the highest degree in their discipline, yet each teaches all levels of students from freshman to graduates.

Small classes and immediate musical involvement provide channels for student activity. All programs give students purposeful, realistic, and challenging learning situations, and are fully accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music.

“Like many departments at UNK, the theatre department was more like a close-knit family. I loved the positive atmosphere I felt. The faculty took the time to get to know each student, their goals for their education, and their goals for theatre on the broader scale. They make an effort to help every student reach those goals. I learned a lot about time management, interpersonal skills, leadership, and of course my areas of study that will prove valuable in my coming years.”
