If you do not already have a teaching certificate, you will need to do the Master’s in PE as well as the UNK TCP program in order to earn a PE 7-12 teaching certificate.
If you already have a teaching certificate, then completing the Master’s in PE program may lead to an additional endorsement in PE (please contact Graduate Program Chair Dr. Erin Sweeney for more information).

Yes, all courses for the program are online.
We accept applications all year round, however if you’d like to start in the Fall please apply by August 10th and if you’d like to start in the Spring please apply by January 10th.
Yes, you can start in the Fall, Spring, or Summer.
Full time graduate student status is 12 credits. However, most of our students take 2 classes (6 credits) a semester.
The HPE program can only help students receive teaching endorsements/certificates in the state of Nebraska.
