Two specialization options are available, both offer thesis or internship options for program completion:
Enhance your coaching skills
Gain fundamental coaching knowledge or enhance your current coaching skills to deliver an age appropriate and safe practice environment for young athletes. Through the program, you will advance your coaching methods and technique while enhancing your expertise in the following areas: sports nutrition, sports psychology, biomechanics, injury care and prevention, exercise physiology and strength training and conditioning program design. Become equipped to manage and provide leadership in sports.
Manage and promote sports activities
Combine sport sciences knowledge with business expertise to excel in the sports industry. A comprehensive curriculum allows you to gain knowledge in budgeting, grant writing, marketing and sport and recreation law. Through the program, you will develop the skills you need to lead and manage within a sports organization or athletic program.
