KHOP Learning Community

Centennial Tower West

The CN AHEC is helping coordinate the Kearney Health Opportunities Program Learning Community by providing additional support and professional development opportunities. The learning community will be comprised of first-year KHOP students and four KHOP upperclassmen mentors in Centennial Towers West 6th floor. To help the first-year KHOP students transition to college, they will meet with their assigned mentor or group once a week for an hour to go over topics, such as study habits, time management and resources on campus. The CN AHEC will help organize campus speakers, tours of local health centers, and facilitate career reflection/assessments. Through added training and education, this community will help foster the growth of future rural health care providers.
