Adjunct faculty are individuals who teach part-time for the university. Generally, they are concurrently engaged in activities within the field and have specific expertise that they bring to their classes which enrich students’ knowledge about their future career. It is a benefit to a program to have access to experts who are willing to serve in this capacity, however, these arrangements can also be challenging due to busy schedules and limited opportunities for direct communications between the adjunct faculty member and the department they teach within. The information below is provided to help you find resources more easily and to provide a few ideas of how we can all work together to ensure that our valued adjunct faculty know that they are an integral part of the UNK family.
Being an affiliate has its benefits. You and your students have access to a variety of software that are accessed through the UNK website. When you see a program you want access to, simply click on “Launch.”
