UNK String Project

 UNK String Project

In January of 2008, the University of Nebraska at Kearney was selected to become a National String Project Consortium (NSPC) site. The consortium is a coalition of 32 String Project sites based at colleges and universities across the United States. The NSPC is dedicated to increasing the number of children playing stringed instruments, and addressing the critical shortage of string teachers in the US. The NSPC is affiliated with businesses, foundations, professional music organizations, and individuals who support these goals. The UNK String Project is sponsored by the National String Project Consortium and the Dana Foundation.

Cellist Noah Rogoff serves as Director and Master Teacher for the UNK site of the String Project. For more information, please contact the UNK Department of Music, Theatre, and Dance at (308) 865-8618, or at rogoffnt@unk.edu.
