Mentoring Program

The mission of the TRIO-SSS Mentor Program is to promote student independence by coaching connections for services, to encourage persistence, and to foster a spirit of personal growth. TRIO-SSS mentors are active participants who develop their leadership skills by attending Mentor Program training meetings throughout the academic year.

Mentoring pairs address issues such as:

• Getting involved on campus
• Becoming familiar with the services and resources at UNK
• Learning the skills necessary to be successful in the classroom
• Developing financial knowledge and budgeting skills
