The University of Nebraska at Kearney offers a variety of academic, sports, creative and extracurricular summer camps for elementary, middle school and high school students. UNK camps vary from a day to overnight week-long events and are designed to expand education, explore, or build athletic skills in a fun environment while you make new friends and experience the UNK campus. Digital Expressions Media Camp

Express your creativity while developing your technical and analytical skills through the use of high-end video and audio equipment. Under the instruction of highly experienced professors, learn how to tell a story using digital field reporting equipment.

An excellent opportunity for coaches at all levels to implement team fundamentals and concepts. Practice your team's offense and defense. Play timing, execution and teamwork will be emphasized. The camp staff will assist with fundamentals and organization.

Quantum Camp (via Young Nebraska Scientists)

Quantum Camp a VIRTUAL camp that will introduce high school students to quantum topics. You’ll learn fundamental concepts of quantum mechanics including quantum superposition and quantum entanglement, then move on to quantum information science. The camp will cover algorithms for quantum computing and quantum teleportation, then the group will enter IBM’s Qiskit platform for hands-on activities to write codes and run quantum programs.

This camp is designed to prepare high school students to audition for the Nebraska All-State Choir. We will focus on scales/arpeggios, vocal technique, and spend 3 days learning the repertoire to give students a head start for success.

Volleyball Position Camp

This camp is designed for the intermediate to advanced player who wants intensive training in either Setting, Hitting, or Defense. Campers choose a position and receive intense training on basic through advanced techniques in their chosen specialty. At the end of each session the Setters, Hitters, and Liberos will be put together to implement the skills they have trained during those sessions. Serving, passing and blocking will be covered as well.

UNK Team Camp is the ULTIMATE setting to prepare for the upcoming fall season. Each team will have the opportunity to compete in at least 9 matches in one of the nation’s premier volleyball facilities. This is a competition/team preparation camp.

Volleykidz Camp

Directed by UNK Head Coach Rick Squiers, the Volleykidz day camp is designed to introduce volleyball basics utilizing age appropriate methods that are both fun and educational. Campers will learn passing, setting, serving, and spiking through the use of modified equipment and techniques to help them get a head start in one of the world's most popular sports. Get into the action with Volleykidz Day Camp!

It is our mission for our campers to grow from their experiences at our camps and gain valuable experience as we assist in “Molding Champions For Life!” We are committed to help guide our campers towards accomplishing the rigorous daily challenges of our camps by thorough preparation, execution, evaluation, and maintaining a high standard. Our staff is dedicated to the development of every athlete to his/her fullest potential.
