About


The UNK Research Portal is a secure electronic research administration system to help UNK faculty, staff and administrators manage research projects. Your entry into the research portal will also bring attention any compliance, IRB, or export control issues that need to be addressed in your proposal.

Requests for external funding, including contracts and grants, are agreements made between the funding institution and UNK and are managed by the principal investigator (PI). As such, UNK requires all documentation to be entered into the research portal prior to submission to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and institution policies.

It is the PI’s responsibility to enter all documents for submission in the research portal. 

Early entry of your proposal into the Research Portal helps the Office of Sponsored Programs to make sure we are submitting the best possible and compliant proposal. All proposals must be entered and approved by appropriate parties before you are able to access awarded funds.
