What do you do at UNK?

I am an Assistant Professor in the communication department teaching in the Organizational and Relational Communication major.  I teach and conduct research in health communication, especially in the context of vaccine hesitancy among parents.

Why choose Communication at UNK?

I came to communication via biochemistry, having decided that I was more interested in the way people talk and make decisions about health than in lab work.  I especially enjoy the diversity of the communication department at UNK.  We have people focusing on health, organizations, relationships, PR, media, culture, or any number of other topics, and can thus help prepare students for any number of careers.  I love the culture I’ve found here in which teachers and students from a variety of backgrounds and interests work so supportively with each other.
