What types of transcripts can be requested?

There are 2 types of transcripts.

  1. Traditional Paper Transcript that is delivered via US Postal Service
  2. Electronic Transcript - Expedited Delivery via email

Both types of transcripts are secure, official documents.

How do I request a transcript?

There are 3 options for requesting a paper transcript.

  1. Send a signed request to our office via mail or fax.
  2. Send a signed request that is scanned into an email as an attachment.
  3. Log on to MyBLUE and submit a request (requires NUID and password).

There are 2 options for requesting an electronic transcript:

  1. Log on to MyBLUE and submit a request to receive an electronic transcript.
  2. For students who do not have access to the MyBLUE System, please click here to request an electronic transcript.

Is there a fee to request a transcript?

There is no fee for a paper transcript.

Requesting an electronic transcript will result in a $5.00 fee.

How long does it take to process a transcript?

A minimum of three to four days should be allowed for processing and receiving paper transcripts, except at the close of terms when more time is required. Allow up to 2 weeks during peak times, at the end of the term.

Electronic Transcripts are typically sent within one business day.

When is my credit card charged for an electronic transcript?

When your order is initially placed, your credit card will be authorized for the purchase amount. However, it will not be charged until the document has been processed.

What do I need in order to open a certified PDF transcript?

In order to open a certified PDF, the free Adobe Reader must be installed. Click here to download the latest version of the free Adobe Reader.

Why does my eTranscript say COPY OF OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT when I print it?

An eTranscript is considered official in PDF format only. If printed, the words COPY OF OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT will appear to indicate that the paper copy is not an official institutional document.

Can I forward a PDF transcript to someone else?

Each transcript issued in PDF format has warnings indicating the document is intended for the recipient only. In addition, the e-mail notification to the recipient states the same. The University of Nebraska at Kearney will not certify the authenticity of any PDF transcript that has been replicated or forwarded to any person or organization other than the intended recipient.

How long does the recipient have to download my PDF transcript?

The recipient has 30 days to download the PDF transcript before it expires. Recipients who have not downloaded the PDF transcript receive a reminder e-mail a few days prior to expiration.

What if the recipient does not receive the email to download the PDF transcript?

Please check the junk mail folder or the spam folder.
