Student Health

Student Health is a campus health clinic that offers medical care to UNK students.

Students taking on-campus credit hours automatically pay the Student Health & Counseling Fee for services.  Students enrolled in online credit hours can opt in for services by paying the semester Student Health & Counseling Fee.

What kind of health care is offered?

  • Evaluation for a wide variety of health issues.
  • Vaccinations and medications.
  • Simple procedures, such as treatment of warts or removal of ingrown toenails. 
  • Physicals for sports, surgery, or study abroad.
  • Basic laboratory services.

What to expect when visiting Student Health this year:

Appointments

  • In-person and telehealth services are available. Call 308-865-8218 to schedule an appointment to ensure you will be seen in a timely manner.
  • Walk-ins are welcome. However, please note that scheduled appointments are preferred and given priority. If all appointments are booked and there are several walk-ins in line ahead, immediate availability is not guaranteed. 
  • Bring your UNK ID
  • Have a form of payment (cash, credit/debit card) if you should incur a nominal fee.
  • Bring your insurance card (in case you need lab services)

Forms: Arrive 15 minutes early to give you time to complete necessary forms.

Respiratory Illness

  • Student health provides treatment options for individuals who are sick and have tested positive for COVID-19.
  • Student Health offers COVID-19 rapid testing at no charge. Appointments required.

We process insurance claims for United Healthcare Student Resources (UHCSR) policy holders. Fees are covered at 100% for students with the UHCSR student insurance plan offered by UNK.
