Being a successful student is about finding your passion, finding the resources you need to learn, and obtaining credits and experience to get a rewarding career or set your course to graduate school.
Your satisfaction and success in the classroom is tied to your selection of a major and your connection to organizations where you can work, volunteer, and find a possible career. That’s why here at UNK you can find academic support and career services in one place.
Are you struggling in a class? We can help you find learning resources or new study skills.
Who’s my advisor? If you’re not sure, we can help. Connect with our office, or your faculty advisor, early, to plan your classes for next semester and beyond.
Not in the right major or still deciding? Changing majors… it happens all the time. Find your strengths and identify possible careers you may have not considered by doing a Career Assessment.
Need a job? Find careers and internships at our Career Fairs each semester, or by searching on loperCAREERS, our online job board. The Career Connections program can help you build your network and explore careers. We also provide practice interviewing and help with your resume and cover letters.
Is grad school in your future? We’re here to help you get ready.
Academic and Career Services is a part of the Division of Academic Services and Enrollment Management. We assign academic advisors, coordinate major/advisor information, and assist Deciding (undeclared) students with class schedules, selecting a major and other academic concerns.
We also serve students, alumni, faculty and employers as the primary resource for career development and job search assistance.
