Drew Fraber

"I graduated from UNK in 2008 and have since flown mapping aircrafts for Google, and later flew as a First Officer on the CRJ700 and Embraer 145 for American Eagle Airlines based at Chicago O'Hare. I am now the Director of Compliance at Jet Linx Aviation, and occasionally fly as a Safety Pilot on a PC-12." "I am happy that I chose the Support Services emphasis as it allowed me to take advantage of additional business-related educational opportunities that the major offered while still being able to fly and apply those credits to my major. I firmly believe that the Support Services emphasis helped me achieve my current position, as it was a direct representation of the duties, tasks and scope of knowledge I encounter every day. It has allowed me to be more well-rounded as I grew my career."

Beyond the Classroom

At the University of Nebraska at Kearney, we believe in providing opportunities for students to help them excel in their field. The Industrial Technology Department allows students to get involved early and often, with multiple organizations, internships, and opportunities to expand your horizons while growing and furthering your career experience.

Scholarships

The department of Industrial Technology offers scholarships for current students, as well as incoming freshmen. Students may apply for Scholarships each year from February 1 through the last day of February by accessing the online application on MyBLUE. This single application on MyBLUE will submit a student's application for consideration of all UNK scholarships for which they qualify. All applicants will be notified of their results by the month of June. (Incoming freshmen and transfer students must be admitted to UNK to apply.)

Student Organizations Icon

Student Organizations

Students are provided opportunities for travel to professional conferences and the opportunity to relate class activities to national competitive events. Students participating in student organizations are provided an opportunity to interact with faculty members outside the classroom, creating a relationship which helps to enhance the educational process.
