ECU Bachelor's of Arts Online Degree

With the ECU BA degree, graduates will be able to teach children ages 0-5 in special education settings and ages 0-8 in regular education settings.

Students will have the opportunity to complete their Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Unified Teaching Endorsement (Birth through 3rd grade) while working in early childhood related places of employment.

What are the prerequisites?

  • This is a degree completion program.  Most or all of the general studies course will be completed prior to transferring to UNK.
  • These courses must meet Academic Transfer program guidelines.

What support will I receive?

  • A degree audit will examine the courses already completed and will determine how many program hours will be needed to complete the degree.
  • UNK provides advising support for all students prior to transferring.
  • UNK works closely with the T.E.A.C.H early childhood scholarship program participants to provide support and information in order meet T.E.A.C.H. scholarship requirements
  • Students enrolled in the UNK program will receive advising and mentoring support throughout:
  • The course transfer process.
  • Admission to UNK
  • Admission to Teacher Education
  • Completion of coursework
  • Field experience
  • Student teaching or practicum.
  • Students have access to online video tutorials to orient them on how to take online course.

Other services include:

  • 24/7 library services, discounted software and hardware, an online bookstore, 24/7 technology help desk, and more.
  • Enrolled students have access to online PRAXI / PPST  exam tutorials through the Testing and Education Reference Center (TERC).
