We, as speech-language pathologists (SLPs), are lucky to be part of such a diverse field. In my career I have enjoyed working as a staff SLP at University Hospital in Omaha, with a plastic surgeon in Louisville, KY evaluating some of his patients with cleft lip and palate, as a language diagnostician for the Oldham County Schools (just outside Louisville, KY), with an SLP in private practice in Aurora, OH, and as a floating therapist for two nursing homes (in Ravenna and Alliance, OH) before moving to back to Kearney, my hometown, and beginning to do clinical supervision here for UNK.
