In this August 2023 issue:
FINAL June FY2023 financial reports will be available in SAP and Firefly on August 4. Remember to enter period=14 to capture all FY2023 financial activity. FINAL July FY2024 financial reports will be available on August 19. Except for June & July, all other months will close on the last day of the month and final month-end reports are available to print or view on-line on the first day of the next month.
Budget information for fiscal year 2024, including carry forwards, will be available in SAP by the last week of August.
When the responsible person for a cost center or WBS element changes, the person relinquishing responsibility can send an email to Scott Olson at olsons2@unk.edu so that SAP can be updated. The responsible person can be found on the upper right-hand corner of the Cost Center: Revenue/Expense Summary or the upper left-hand corner of the WBS Element: Revenue/Expense Summary.
If you have a new hire that will have responsibilities related to accounts payable, human resources, financial reporting, contracting for personal services, and eSHOP ordering please refer to the Business and Finance workshop registration site (http://unk.enrollware.com/schedule) to see a list of available trainings and register for the sessions that will pertain to the new employee. Contact names and numbers vary and can be found in the descriptions provided for individual classes.
*Ticketing for parking permits starts on the first day of classes, August 21st. There will be long lines at UNK Police that day!
Parking permits may be purchased on line through MyBlue (either by payroll deduction, credit or debit card), by campus mail (with check or payroll deduction), or in person (with check, cash or payroll deduction). Permits will be mailed to the purchaser by campus mail, if ordered by August 10th. Permits ordered after close of business on August 10th, will need to be picked up at the UNK Police office.
Employees and Departments/Groups of Employees can be nominated for different awards. The awards are presented monthly during the Staff Senate meetings.
Please consider nominating a staff member or group who has demonstrated excellence. It’s time to show our colleagues how much we appreciate what they do and why we’re so very proud to be Lopers!!
